Written by Pete Prestipino | May 24, 2016 5:00:00 AM

While your enterprise might be slow to adopt Google's Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), others seem to be doing so at a relatively decent rate.

In his "Search and the mobile content ecosystem" session at Google I/O, Richard Gingras revealed that Google has now indexed over 125 million AMP docuemnts across 640,000 domains. That's obviously a drop in the bucket compared to the trillions of documents on the Web currently, but it's certainly a good start.

Gingras also indicated that Google will be expanding AMP to the iOS and Android applications and branching out to new content verticals with recipes first up which may also further drive growth for project.
