Daily deals startup Womply is taking an interesting approach with its launch of Loyalty Cloud, a program designed for merchants that want to focus on engaging and retaining existing customers rather than acquiring new ones.
With Loyalty Cloud, merchants set an incentive for loyal customers. For example, that might be to visit 3 times in a month and receive cash back. Customers then pay at the merchants normally with one of their linked credit or debit cards. Womply enrolls the customers, tracks progress towards rewards, issues those rewards, and measures performance down to the dollar for merchants.
Womply is current partner with 100 merchants in the Washington D.C area.
