Multi-channel commerce solution Digital River has expanded its relationship with PayPal, adding PayPal Express Checkout and the Bill Me Later platform to its portfolio of supported payment options.
By adding the two services, Digital River now supports more than 40 international and local payment options in more than 170 currencies.
The Express Checkout feature will be appealing to those merchants suffering from low conversion rates as a result of abandoned carts (as users can skip the process of entering personal details), while the addition of Bill Me Later, which provides a reusable credit line for shoppers, can serve as a proven way to increase average order values.
"Consumers are more apt to buy and buy more when there are convenient and simple paths to the payment button. Adding these alternative payment options by PayPal enables us to help our clients further increase revenues," said Souheil Badran, senior vice president and general manager, global payments and commerce at Digital River.
