Subscription Shopping Pioneer Adds Incentives

Long before Amazon Prime, there was FreeShipping.com, a subscription shopping portal. 

FreeShipping.com’s shopping engine is its bread and butter, allowing its members to compare prices and find coupons for the same item simultaneously. The service just fully relaunched to include 10 percent cash back on all purchases at in-network retailers, the ability to search for items by category, description or SKU, sorting by brand and price, free shipping and return shipping and price protection.

As for the 10 percent cashback incentive, in the first month of the new incentive, members increased their purchase amounts by 60 percent and the number of purchases they made went up 70 percent. 

FreeShipping.com does offer a no-cost 30-day review of its services, but the monthly subscription fee to access these different benefits is about $13. Subscribers can shop with more than 1,000 retailers on FreeShipping.com, including Best Buy, DSW, Macy's, ProFlowers and more.
