When it comes to social media management, half the battle is coming up with new and creative ways to interact with your audience.

One way some brands save time brainstorming content ideas is by leveraging day-specific hashtags. While some of these hashtags are well known and used by a large part of the socialsphere, like #ThrowbackThursday, others are more industry specific, such as #ShoesdayTuesday or #Caturday.

Nice idea creating a pro-active schedule for updates

Great Idea. I have a question, so does the brand/company come up with the #hashtag or do they search for them and find ones that are relevant and them use them with their content?

Allison Howen 01-23-2014 11:28 AM

AllisonP – you can do it both ways. Leveraging well-known hashtags will definitely influence a brand's reach, but creating your own and sticking with it can help with branding initiatives.
