Calls-to-action (CTA) are a necessity across marketing channels, but getting the "right" one is a combination of creativity, relevancy and testing.
Providing the best CTA (with word, color and even punctuation choice) and positioning it in a place where users are likely to click, can be the difference in converting a visitor into a customer or losing a sale. While the following list of calls-to-action does not make recommendations for specific sites or use cases (e.g., homepages, exit offers, product pages, etc.), it can serve as inspiration for what CTAs might work or are at least testable. If anything, a list of what's currently being done may spark some creativity.
