App Indexing Comes to iOS (for Some)

Apple apps are no longer getting the digital cold shoulder from Google, as the search engine announced it is now not just offering App Indexing with Android apps but iOS apps as well.

What this means is that users on both Android and iOS phones will be able to open mobile app content directly from Google Search.

Although only a small group of test partners can get their iOS apps indexed as of now, Google says other app developers can get a head start by adding deep linking support to their iOS apps, making sure it's possible return to search results with one click, providing deep link annotations on their sites and letting Google know they are interested in getting app deep links in iOS search results.
