What's more, the social network says that it sees more than 80 million photos shared per day on its platform. "When Instagram launched nearly five years ago, 400 million seemed like a distant dream. Now, we continue to strive to improve Instagram - helping you experience the world through images and connect with others through shared passions," Instagram said in its [blog post](https://blog.instagram.com/post/129662501137/150922-400million). ![Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Peter_Devereaux.png) [Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/social-media/author/peter-devereaux) As the Editor-in-Chief of Website Magazine and President of Website Services, Peter has established himself as a prominent figure in the digital marketing industry.
