Popular web hosting provider Bluehost announced that it will be making the Weebly website builder application available to its users.
The Weebly Site Builder will be one of the recommended tools for customers without significant technical knowledge to create websites (the other is WordPress). Weebly, which is one of Website Magazine's Recommended Top 50 Design and Development Tools for 2012, includes over 100 built-in design templates, drag and drop layout modules for including text, images, video, galleries and more into their designs. The new website creation tool also includes support for forms, an image editor, blogging capabilities, and basic site tracking tools.
Bluehost will offer two editions of Weebly. The Basic edition will be free to all Bluehost customers, but only includes support for six pages. The Pro upgrade (which costs $8.95 per month on an annual term) adds support for unlimited pages, the ability to password protect individual pages or an entire site, custom Favicons, and the ability to edit template HTML/CSS or create themes from scratch (to name but a few of the features).
An ecommerce add-on ($2.95 per month on an annual term) is also available on both Basic and Pro editions which provides shopping cart support for PayPal and Google Checkout.
