The downside? Email marketers say "thanks" less than one percent of the time. While the use of the word "thanks" typically indicates some action has already been taken by the user (such as requesting a demo or downloading a white paper, etc.) and the messages are expected or even necessary to open to confirm for recipients, squeezing in a thank you here and there might really benefit your next email send. Something to consider.   ![](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/thankseloqua-2-1-1-1.png?width=592&height=286&name=thankseloqua-2-1-1-1.png)   ![Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Peter_Devereaux.png) [Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/email/author/peter-devereaux) As the Editor-in-Chief of Website Magazine and President of Website Services, Peter has established himself as a prominent figure in the digital marketing industry.
