Automattic/WordPress went into some detail into [how the import process](https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2017/03/02/import-your-medium-posts-to-wordpress-com/) works. Medium has been looking for a formal business model and it looks to be turning to digital advertising to do so. If you're not interested in having the platform monetize your content and not give you a fair share, the import tools looks to be a terrific solution.   ![wp-medium-import](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/wp-medium-import-1-1-1.png "wp-medium-import") ![Pete Prestipino](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Pete%20Prestipino.jpeg) [Pete Prestipino](https://www.websitemagazine.com/software/author/pete-prestipino) Digital marketing executive with proven experience in all aspects of search engine optimization (SEO), performance-based advertising, consumer-generated/social media, email marketing, lead generation, Web design, usability, and analytics. - 20-year Internet marketing veteran, currently serving as the Digital Marketing Campaign Manager at Antenna Group (formerly Chicago Digital). - Former Editor-In-Chief of Website Magazine, and a regular speaker on Web technology digital marketing strategy - Author of several books on digital marketing Including Web 360: The Fundamentals of Web Success; Affiliate 360: The Fundamentals of Performance Marketing; Domains 360: The Fundamentals of Buying & Selling Domain Names, and SEO 360: The Fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization. - - - [mailto:peter@websitemagazine.com](mailto:peter@websitemagazine.com) #### Popular Post ### [How Online Booking Helps Businesses Modernize and Innovate ![How Online Booking Helps Businesses Modernize and Innovate](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/shutterstock_1710009919-2-1-1-1.jpg)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/software/how-online-booking-helps-businesses) ### [The Best New Tech to Grow Your Startup ![The Best New Tech to Grow Your Startup](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/startup-3-1-1-1.png)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/software/the-best-new-tech-to-grow-your-startup) ### [Billing Made Simple with Aestiva Professional Software ![Billing Made Simple with Aestiva Professional Software](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/gradient-regular-logo-mark-Jan-23-2023-12-20-23-1553-AM-4-3-May-01-2023-10-21-18-8253-PM.png)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/software/billing-made-simple-with-aestiva-professional-software) #### Subscribe to Our Newsletter!
