BigMarker Makes a Big Move in Web Conferencing
In Website Magazine's upcoming November 2014 issue (subscribe here), readers will receive some guidance on a few of the leading Web conferencing solutions. New solutions are emerging every day however, with new features. Since we don't want you to miss any of the latest and greatest in the market, check this out.
Web conferencing solution BigMarker announced recently that its users can now host free web conferences with up to 100 participants -- including up to 9 sharing webcams at a time -- with no downloads or plugins required. This major update is a follow-on to the introduction of the world's first full-featured WebRTC conferencing platform, which the company released in a limited Beta this past August.
The update brings new features, including recording and playback of screen sharing and videos shared in webinars and video conferences, as well as uploading of recorded content to YouTube. But the greatest improvements come in the form of scale, as the ability to host interactive webinars and online events of this size, without downloading software, is uncharted territory for the industry.
"We could not be more excited to be developing the latest technology for teaching, learning, and sharing with others in real-time," said Zhu-Song Mei, BigMarker's Founder and CEO. "We've made steady progress, and we're happy to be the first company to offer interactive web conferencing at this scale in a browser, without Flash or some other installation requirement. As our team continues to push the limits of what computers can do, we look forward to seeing BigMarker users push the boundaries of connecting more and more like-minded people from around the world."
