Mobile has remained top of mind throughout 2012, yet many website owners still haven't created a mobile-optimized version of their site. Luckily, there are many available platforms that can help Web professionals make their first move into the mobile world.

One of the newest do-it-yourself platforms is ZapMobi, which just announced public availability for its free and premium services.  The company's basic offering provides users with a drag and drop mobile website builder that includes customizable CSS, photo and text editing, as well as analytics, free mobile hosting and unlimited static pages. Additionally, the platform can sync to a website's RSS, which enables users to automatically build mobile pages with content from their desktop website.

"We are excited to introduce an easy, quick, and effective way to produce a mobile site. With more and more people accessing information, researching, or purchasing via their mobile devices daily, a mobile website is a clear must have for any business today," said Charlie Fallman, co-founder of ZapMobi. "Our goals are to make this process as simplistic as possible for businesses in all ranges of complexly and for a variety of different usage."
